They're not native to Florida. They're typically ornamental birds and they don't actually breed very well in the climate in Florida. I just looked it up and the distribution of them is limited so far in Florida to just two counties; any wild sightings of them are from escaped or released birds. :-)

They're from Africa. They're kind of pretty, aren't they?
