No More Firefox...
I've been trying to put off the inevitable and not face facts but I was finally forced to admit today...
Firefox has been screwing up my computer.
Every week or so, they come up with an update and half the time it claims to be incompatible with my security program...WTF?
Then, within 1-3 days after updating, my USB ports start malfunctioning. First, it's my hard-drive back-up... not cool at all.
Then, it's my battery back-up... one horrible power hiccup away from disaster...
Plus, the only reason I downloaded Firefox in the first place was because everyone said it was the best. Even job applications required it. Now, six years later, this isn't the case and websites that once welcomed me have me on their black list because of my browser being suspicious...
So, I have Safari.
Honestly, Safari was I wanted in the first place but it wasn't available for PC back then and when it was...everyone said Firefox was best.
I figured out how to add a "Home" button. When I pull up a new tab, it suggests ideas for where I want to go based on previous History. Best of all, everything loads super fast especially LJ and it brings everything onto one page so I don't have to scroll side to side anymore. It's like going from Pan and Scan to Letterbox.
I already tried IE and it sucks. A lot of people like Chrome but I don't trust Google that well.

seriously though, it's the slowest, most likely to crash browser I've ever used, and when it crashes it often takes your whole damn system with it. Firefox used to be good, but it's rapidly becoming just as bad as IE is, and both of them are now terribly unstable.
I've tried is Opera, Safari and Chrome, and they're all very similar as regards what features they offer. I currently use all 3 on the various laptops and such that I have access to, and I personally prefer Opera as it seems to be the quickest.
