Disney Snubbed at Oscars this Year?

Well, I'll still be watching but ugh...

Here's what I think Tom Hiddleston's reaction will be when he finds out the Oscars didn't let "Man or Muppet?" be performed...

No, I don't think I'm entirely off...

Aww Tom, I'd totally sing "Man or Muppet?" in public with you...and I would have thought more of The Big Bang Theory fans would be up in arms about this. They could have had Jim Parsons performing at the Oscars.

Also, CBS Sunday Morning had an awesome interview with Alan Menken today. It should be on the website later:

What a bummer that the Muppets won't be making an appearance in the show tonight. The Oscar folks are stupid not to include them -- they need to do what they can to liven up the show. I'll bet it'll be a bit of a yawner. BTW, I've voted for "Man or Muppet?" in our Oscar pool.... :)

I've always chosen not to watch award shows of any kind, because 90% of the time I don't agree with the winners. And this stance has been further solidified after hearing that Oscar voters are nearly 94 percent Caucasian and 77 percent male. Complete bs in my opinion (oh and apparently one of the voters is an actress turned Nun). How is this representative of anything Hollywood? Just goes to show why I'm not a huge fan of your movies...would much rather watch British and Asian films.

But I do love me some Muppets. I think it should have been nominated for Best Picture (but that is just me).

As much as I love any opportunity to see Jim in a tux and am therefore definitely bummed about them not doing a performance, given he'd be the only reason I'd have watched, at least this way I didn't have to suffer through 3 tedious hours for 5 good minutes. *g*

Personally, I'm just holding out hope for Emmy #3 to come his way this year.

Yep, it was a yawner. Yes, Kermit and Miss Piggy were there...but neutered...
