I wouldn't call it a "romcom". It feels like it does disservice to Woody Allen. The Term "romcom" is associated with things like Runaway Bride, Serendipity, and Did You Hear about the Morgans? Truly awful films that NO ONE should watch whereas Woody Allen is art.
Also, there really isn't even that much romance in it or comedy. There is humor, but it's not like a Judd Apatow film or something.
I'm also saddened by "torturous" and "War Horse" in the same sentence...
