I do agree with this. *Nods* Hart Hanson & company should have made the season premiere an ep with two separate stories (e.g. Brennan being on the run & the rest of the team trying to solve the case to clear her name) that became one either at the end of the above-described ep or at the beginning of the one we did get as the season premiere. *Nods* That one had a little bit of what I suggested above, but not quite enough, IMO, and apparently yours, as well. The one thing the writers did do right is actually show us the fallout from Brennan taking off with Christine without telling Booth. They've glossed over things like that in the past (e.g. told, usually in an interview before or after the episode has aired, rather than showed), so they get a point for that. *Nods*
I've come to terms with the writers' decision to not actually show us Booth and Brennan becoming a couple, because all the cuteness between them (and following Christine's birth, the increase in it) has more than made up for it, at least for me :]. Just as an example, I actually got misty-eyed during the scene when Parker was showing Booth and Brennan the mobile he made for Christine's crib :}. And really, at least in terms of Brennan unexpectedly becoming pregnant with Booth's child, their get-together, so to speak, has been portrayed pretty realistically. *Nods*
