I felt Loki was right too. I grew up in a cult and can attest to this fact. Making decisions is hard. Really thinking about things can be uncomfortable and requires effort. A lot of people would rather someone else make the decisions for them.

I noticed that the old man said, "We will never kneel to men like you." He did NOT say, "We will never kneel." His issue was not with the act of subjugation but rather with Loki as an individual or as a type of leader.
