All the Clint Barton
I know I appear a bit obsessed with Clint Barton. I think it's because I get Coulson every week...although he better at least be mentioned in Avengers: Age of Ultron!...Black Widow got to be awesome in Captain America: Winter Soldier and Scarlett Witch was in the credits for that, but Clint, aside from a couple of mentions on Agents of SHIELD, was freaking ignored for almost THREE YEARS!
So, it's like it's finally raining after three years of drought.
Look, look who got their own action figure!

I'd rather that he came with Kate Bishop...who has NEVER had an action figure and because I don't want to pay 25 dollars for Clint Barton. I do love him but there are limits.
I'm really tempted to buy some Dinamita or Black Widow Jacked though...and Dr. Pepper has cans again but all the cool people continue to be on Diet that I can't drink.
However, I am buying Froot Loops and will continue to buy Froot Loops until I get the flyer that I want! Technically, 2 of the 4 would be acceptable. 50% chance, what could go wrong?
Dammit, Civil War flyer! But I will have my Black Widow and Hawkeye together, I will!

I love Linda Cardellini. I do. I love all my former Freaks and Geeks people even when they make horrible films or shitty life decisions...I'm looking at you, Shia LeBeouf.
She appears to be playing Laura Barton and before we start in on the dreams sequences or flashbacks, this has to be her at Hawkeye's farm during the wood chopping scene:
Obviously, I could be wrong...it could be Dr. Cho again...but I really don't think so.
From the standpoint of a Jeremy Renner and Joss Whedon fan, it makes a lot of sense. Renner is able to have a lot more character development and Whedon is able to make up for not letting the character shine last time. He also gets to Joss most of the audience's personal fanon which must be one his absolute favorite things to do...and why it's named after him.
From the standpoint of a storyteller, it's terrible writing. The point of the MCU is that everything is connected. You set things up in film that doesn't pay off until four or five years later. There's always an endgame and way to gether. I expect nothing less from the characterization as well. It was bad enough having Pierce suddenly appear and be a Number Two to Fury, but they set up Clintasha pretty hard.
Even Scarlet Johansson was into Clintasha, it was her idea to have the arrow necklace. I have dismissed it before as strange that a male/female BFFs would have jewelry but there she is in the first ten or fifteen minutes of the film describing Clint as her "best friend". So, it's a platonic love like...Dawson and Joey? Mal and Zoe? Typically, Hollywood trains us that males and females can't be platonic friends. Even Mulder and Scully eventually gave in, fucked and had a kid together...ooh, off-topic but if William could be in the new series, that would be AWESOME! I just realized he'd be like 15 years old now.
Then, there's the fact that Laura Barton means Joss is using the Ultimates universe version of Clint.
Obviously, Joss is entitled to whatever version of Clint he likes or a completely new one. Nick Fury did set a precedent for using the Ultimates universe but...
1. Laura and their three kids end up dead in the Ultimates universe and who kills them?

2. Ultimates Universe never had Clint with Bobbi which works out well for Hunter but...
3. Ultimates Universe never had Kate Bishop as Hawkeye and FUCK THAT, TOO! She was little more than Miles Morales' girlfriend. I love Miles but Kate is supposed to be AWESOME! And if they use this as an excuse not to have Kate or Lucky down the road, I will be beyond pissed. Dammit, Cassie is in fucking Ant-Man!
4. Ultimates Universe never had Barney Barton or Lucky so basically, everything I love about Hawkeye and his current 616 comics version DOESN'T EXIST!
5. Ultimates Universe was where Wanda and Pietro had sexual relationship with each other while still being twins.

So, when people dismiss everyone being upset over Laura Barton as being crushed over not getting Clintasha or Phlint, it's so much more than that!

Disney released a set of Avengers Vinylmation and there's a regular Clint and a variant Clint with sunglasses.
I got the variant and my mom got the regular one.
