Tubey Awards

You NEED to vote in this thing.

Why?

Well, depending on the results, like if enough of you vote, it may be the coolest awards ever given out.

Favorite Character - Ianto Jones
Best Guest Performance - Alex Kingston, Barnard Cribbins, John Simm, Michael Sheen AND Betty White all in one category!

Now, this one was almost like Sophie's Choice:
Best performance by an inanimate object - Bugatti Veyron dressed as a mouse - Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien vs Captain Jack Harkness' Coat - Torchwood

There was also some category that must have been Best Slash Pairing that's not quite canon - Doctor/Master, Neal/Peter, Merlin/Arthur

Tubey Awards!

Torchwood is up for both Best Season Finale and Worst Season Finale, lol. Also, there's another round next week with all new questions.

Well, as much as it would tickle me to vote Gwen as character most in need of killing off, I don't see anyone to vote for in favorite character -- do you have to vote in every category or can you pick and choose?

[identity profile] ericadawn16.livejournal.com 2010-06-25 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
You can pick and choose. I chose Ianto for Favorite Character.

Unfortunately, I'm a Jack fan, not an Ianto fan, so that doesn't work for me, but as long as I can just skip the category, it'll be fine.

Just want the opportunity to take out some of my frustration on Gwen. LOL

thank you, they look so freakin funny!

I gave Torchwood 'Ianto Jones,' 'Jack Harkness' Coat' and 'Worst Season Finale,' everything else went to Fringe (or I closed my eyes and jabbed at the mouse pad :p ).

Okay, Best Guest Star and Best Performance by an Inanimate Object are far more difficult for me to choose for than they should be. The TARDIS vs. Metallicar vs. Jack's coat? HOW DO I CHOOSE??? /overdramatic

[identity profile] ericadawn16.livejournal.com 2010-06-25 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
I warned you, that category is like Sophie's choice. It even has the Sonic Screwdriver and Lucille the van.

But I forgot to mention how unfair it is that Eleven's outfit is listed under crime to fashion!

Bowties are cool. ;)

THE Crime Against Fashion (and possibly humanity) is Elliot's fluffy, poofy, curled, occasionally beaded hair from Leverage. There cannot be any doubt.

(Actually, I can't entirely remember what I voted for in most of these categories. I know I filled in this round first thing on Monday and the earlier round first thing the Monday before. I can't see if there's a way to go back and check what your votes. I asked in the Tubey forum but haven't had a response.)

I *think* I voted for Abed from Community as favorite character; Abed/Troy for HoYay couple; and Community for Best Comedy. I wanted to pick Mark Sheppard as Best Guest Star for everything ever, but, since that wasn't possible, I voted for him for Leverage. I also can't remember what I selected for inanimate object or Best Drama.

Also, you do realize that this is only the nominating round, right? They include every suggestion made in the forums, which is how they end up with things like Torchwood listed as both best and worst season finale; then, they use this vote to cut the list down to 10; and, then, out of those ten, they have another vote, from which they award the Tubey.

Actually, I kind of like Elliot's hair that way...well, Christian Kane could do anything with his hair, even shave it, and still be hot.
I voted for Ugly Betty because ugly fashions on a show about fashion just doesn't make sense.

I don't think you can go back and check although there was a glitch last night so either my original votes weren't counted or I accidentally go to vote twice.

I chose Master/Doctor for Yugioh or Heyho or whatever that was, Alex Kingston for Best Guest although it was super hard and The Inbetweeners for best comedy.

I did read the rules that there would be a second round of every category in July, but I'm hoping that we can get enough people to vote so it won't just be Lost winning everything. I guess that makes more sense why the nominees were so great compared to the usual awards lists.
