Death Panels DO Exist Right NOW!

They're called insurance and pharmaceutical companies. Last month, the FDA wanted all drugs known as Makena to have the same formula so nobody would have the misfortune of a version not made as well. They awarded the sole responsibility of making Makena to KV Pharmaceutical.

Last month, a dose of the medication cost $10-20 each time but now that KV has exclusive rights, they've increased that price to as much $1,500 a dose!!!

Makena is used to prevent premature labor.

They're killing babies: wanted babies, babies being planned by parents who love them very much already but could never afford to pay that!

KV says the cost is justified to avoid the mental and physical disabilities that can come with very premature births except that parents and insurance companies won't be able to pay for the drug in the first place. We will see a rise in babies born too young to survive past birth or having to be in incubators for months.

Why can't those who spend so much time and effort to "protect" fetuses in the first trimester spend that much time and effort to protect those in the third?

You are correct in blaming the FDA. This is why we need more government regulations, not fewer. Time and again it's been proven the capitalist system cannot be relied upon to regulate its own avaricious tendencies for the good of the public.
