Sadly, I completely understand her answer. I remember that 80s Florida before everything got so developed...strip malls should be OUTLAWED!

This is the problem with going back – in my head, Florida is still the Florida of late 80s. I remember when Boot Ranch was still a ranch. It’s not as beautiful as it used be. The Florida of my memory hasn’t existed in such a long time.

A lot of places are changing. I think it's happening everywhere. There are tons of strip malls here too. Some people call it progress, even if it means destroying beautiful land or tearing down a historic building for a crummy parking lot. It's horrible.
