Furry Friends Vinylmation

Any Vinylmation collectors?

Alas, I did not get Oliver or Francis but I will have them one day, I will!

Until The Lion King, Oliver & Company was my most favorite Disney animated film EVER...and I already have Dodger from the Animation series.

I stil can't give the vinylmation things any consideration given I am annoyed it has basically taken over Villains in Vogue, which was my all time favourite shop at WDW because it was only villain merchandise.

To me, there seemed to be a correlation between a de-emphasis on the villains merchandise in general and the shift at Villains in Vogue. I remember going in there to also see the newest Nightmare Before Christmas items and there reached a point where it was just the same items over and over. They just keep making the same shirts and things without coming up with something new.

I think they feel the collector items like pins or Vinylmation makes them more money because people will want to buy right away whereas with everything else, they know new guests are coming all the time and will find the old stuff new so there's no motivation for new items.

However, they do have two series of Villains Vinylmations which look really cool. There was a lot more villains merchandise when Fantasmic was newer, too.

I'm hoping some of this is temporary budget cutting and will go away in the next decade or so.

We have three cells from the film in our house with the background pieces that Peter got at some auction years ago. They are in various places around the house.

I'm going to have to give those a go since Caroline is a big fan of most of those figures

That is AWESOME!

Tell me which ones you get, I'm curious.

Still dislike the new mold but these are cute! I love the way Tramp looks!

It was disappointing that they're smaller and have less of the Mickey Mouse features but I do like that they can have props now like lightsabers or hats and that the animals had the hands changed to paws.

I think the size and weight bother me most, because it's like... I remember when I only paid $10 a piece for these things, and now they're $12 and smaller??

On the plus side, my Vinylmation Park Starz I thought were universally sold out everywhere and I'd pretty much gave up on finding came in the mail today! Yay Disney Store!

True.

Which one did you get???

Mine ended up being the boy and goat from It's a Small World. They're so cute although a little small for the price even though the metal box is kind of cool.

I actually ended up ordering four with a coupon with some Xmas money!

I ended up with the 20,000 Leagues Squid, Figment, Moon Man, and the Pirate! And I agree I wish they were bigger, especially when their tins are enormous!

I'd really love to get the Yeti and Big Al though! Maybe when I have saved some more money, haha.

Oliver and Co. was only superceeded in my childhood affections by The Land Before Time.
