The Lone Ranger Nostalgia

This is my aunt Evelyn's bracelet. I know it just looks like a cheap souvenir but there's more to it than that. When my mom and aunt were growing up, westerns ruled especially The Lone Ranger. Their parents took them on a trip out west where they each got this bracelet.

A couple of weeks ago, my mom bought a beaded stone bracelet, told me how it reminded her of the bracelets she and Evelyn had on their trip out west, how it was all entangled with The Lone Ranger and how the movie was making her remember things. She also spoke of both bracelets being long gone because she'd forgotten that her mom had given me Evelyn's bracelet when I was a girl.

I took it with me when we saw the movie. I didn't wear it for fear of losing it; a sixty year old family heirloom but I had it in my iPod wallet.

I'm not sure what my aunt would have thought of the film. As my mom has said, "The film was VERY different than the original show."

The Lone Ranger was weird for me. I felt like something was off the whole time.

Yeah, I had a feeling something might be off with that film :/
