I have a coupon from Barnes and Noble, it's good online and is 30% IN ADDITION to all other discounts.

30% of any one item from Barnes and Noble and I'm...at a loss. I don't want to get something too expensive. I've spent too much lately as it is so what do you think?

Harry Potter: Film Wizardry

Third season of Sarah Jane

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Price of Freedom

Or a fourth option that I NEED to watch, read, listen, etc. and haven't remembered?

And if you could tell me what that is...

Well, it only works for one item. Which book would you recommend?
Also, I was a bit worried if I got something too cheap that the savings would be canceled out by shipping.

Hehe, I see...are there any books with Rory? They mostly tend to have Eleven and Amy or at least the ones I've seen.

I have to admit that I usually try to find one at the bookstore and read it there,

Harry Potter: Film Wizardry is now 45% off and with the coupon it comes out to around $14-15 dollars, so I vote for that one.
Have you got a chance to take a look inside the book? I went to B&N today to check it out. They had 2 copies but they were shrink wrapped in plastic and right in front of the reference desk. So, I was able to sneek a peek.

P.S. Borders is also running a deal (went there too but they were out of stock) were if you buy anything Harry Potter you get the official, embroidered house robe patch for free. I was surprised to see how much more merchandise they had than B&N. I got the HP: Good vs Evil double deck of playing cards. I was really happy to see Snape in the good guys deck and the black King cards to boot!

Oh, I was...actually, I looked at Amazon's "Look Inside!" or whatever first so then I showed my mom the major selling point for me:

It comes with your very own Marauder's Map!

Basically, I'd like all three at some point. It's a matter of choosing which to purchase right now.

I LOVE this coupon. Love, love, LOVE. I used it 4x at the store yday. I was going to buy a bunch of stuff Nov 29-Dec 12 for 40% off (Employee Appreciation), buuuuut this was better for some stuff! Christmas cards were already 30% off. Stack the coupon! Got a movie for my sis for 40%+this. Preordered "Matched" by Ally Condie for 46% off +this and "Glee, V.4" for...whatever the sale price was + this...was $8 something in the end....oh, and did a ship to house of the new Orson Scott Card book "Pathfinder" for 45% off plus this. I feel like I STOLE from BN! Such a good coupon!!!! The two books alone were $7ish each...and $18-19 list price...I paid less than the price of one for BOTH!!!!

You mean you can use the same coupon more than once?

From: [identity profile] baine.livejournal.com
Yep!! In the store, at least. I don't know if they only let you use it once online. You'd have to ship each item individually in its own order if they do, though. Until yesterday, I always used my friend's membership card; members always get free shipping. I would just go to the store and do a "ship to house," which gives you the online price and the coupon. Yesterday (or is it all weekend?), the first 25 customers to spend $50 could have a free membership for 1 yr. We got a $100 giftcard (to use next week during *my* sale) b/c rt now, you also get a free $10 card for spending $100 AND the mall was giving out a free $10 if you spent $100 BF morning in the mall!! Mm, you can also register online for a free 2 month trial of the membership and cancel within the two months, so you can get the free shipping that way, too :)

Or do it in-store if it's something already on sale!

Ooh, apparently, he's on the cover of The King's Dragon (http://www.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-Dragon-Una-McCormack/dp/184607990X/ref=sr_1_10?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1290959227&sr=1-10) which I totally want to read/have at some point, but I still think the shipping would cancel out the 30% savings although another friend said if you print them out and go to the store, you can use the coupon repeatedly.
However, I have no printer or close location and two of my choices are pre-orders.

That's cool about Borders...I honestly don't think I've been in a Borders in months. The closest Barnes and Noble is just 17 miles away although not close enough to apply for jobs there whereas the closest Borders is 22 miles away which doesn't seem like a lot but it means crossing into the next county and encountering much heavier traffic.

That's cool about the playing cards, have you seen the poster books? Barnes and Noble has poster books: one for bad guys and one for good guys. Snape is in both. I also wondered if Dr. Who wasn't so popular if Barty Crouch, Jr. wouldn't have gotten four pages!
That patch deal is lot better than what they told me in the email, they said you'd have to buys 30$ or more...

Yeah, I knew I wasn't going to spend that much and I can't do the coupon thing since I don't have a printer, the library isn't open today and I didn't have a way to go to Borders today.

I think I know what I'm going to get though.

You don't need to print the coupon to use it at the store. You can write down the coupon code number (the store one, not the online one, obv.). ^_^ I do it all the time! Never print them. ^^

Anytime! That's what I was saying the other day about why coupons like Hot Topic probably work w/o a printout, too :) I can't answer for all stores, but BN will do it!! :)

(But you WILL have to print those Disney coupons if you want them. Sorry!)
