Yes, I've been reading Zen Habits again to try and get back on track from my summer detour. However, I'm reading his ideas for how to have a job you really, really love and...I'm beginning to wish that what I really, really loved was picking up trash, imputing numbers or taking care of sick people because then that would be easy.

But no...I have to like reading and writing which don't seem to be prized at all in this society where half of society says they're writing a book and the other half calls that half elitist.

I don't know what to do with that. I'm about at the point of giving up and accepting what my mom says about doing what you want in your free-time because no one likes their job.

I hate that though because it would be giving up and how could anything get better? The whole job situation just sucks and there was this lady on tv complaining that if we can't find a job, we should just move. Why should I have to move because they fucked up the economy?

I think I need a fairy godmother.

She doesn't have to make it all perfect, just tell me what I'm supposed to be doing with my life.

"What do you spend hours reading about?"

Torchwood, movies and politics...
The first isn't even real, the second is firing people like crazy and the third...

And I'm watching reality programming that has nothing to do with John Barrowman...

This is why I don't do well when left alone, but at least I'm not napping for three hours or trying to cut my hair so that's an improvement.
