I learned how to shrink wrap!
2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never make any, but I do want to do some of my Turning Thirty Bucket List.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Technically, I mean I went to the baby shower but now, we're not as close and I didn't go to the birthday party.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Pets... :(
5. What countries did you visit?
Uh, the US?
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
I'd like to have a little more job security with a decent number of hours each week.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory?
Hmm, well, February 14, 2011, mom and I went to Disney, specifically Hollywood Studios where we watched Muppets and did the Great Movie Ride.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I got a more dependable job.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Nanowrimo, I got about 10,000 words. Now, I have about 13,000 words but I'm still going.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Oddly enough, no, nothing special unlike the allergic reaction a couple of weeks ago.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr on dvd for twelve bucks. I've been showing the nephews all the episodes and it's even better than what I remembered. It should be a must for all Lost and Firefly fans.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
All of those who fought against complacency and called and wrote their representatives.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Many of those who attended the Republican debates who booed service people and wanted the uninsured to die.
14. Where did most of your money go?
As always...student loans.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Hobbit trailer !!!!! I know, it's kind of sad that the entire twelve months boiled down to one three minute trailer but I'd been waiting ten years for that.
16. What song/album will always remind you of 2011?

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
1. Happier or sadder? Happier.
2. Thinner or fatter? Thinner, woohoo!
3. Richer or poorer? A bit poorer, but hopefully, improving.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Write on the book and read for pleasure.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
I wish that all my friends wouldn't have needed so much support and were able to have happier lives.
20. How will you be spending/did you spend Christmas?
We went to The Artist and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
I'm definitely not a phone person, probably Carolyn or Amanda.
22. Did you fall in love in 2011?
No
23. How many one night stands in this last year?

24. What was your favourite TV programme?
This would probably be a tie between my late night programs: Conan, The Daily Show, The colbert Report, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The weekend just feels weird without them.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Hate is a strong word. There are some that I wish I could make them go away or else show them another point of view.
26. What was the best book(s) you read?
The latest Abarat book by Clive Barker...so good.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Hmm, I do like Foster the People.
28. What did you want and get?
I got the job and boots.
29. What did you want and not get?
We still have to work on making the website profitable.
30. What were your favourite films of this year?
Hugo, X-Men: First Class and Stephen Sondheim's Company with the New York Philharmonic
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 29 and went to the brand new Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If the government had passed a large scale package like the New Deal.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
I tried harder. I did since I have work now. I've been painting my nails and making sure things don't clash. My coworkers think I'm adventurous though because I'll still wear Converse with dresses.

Movies, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Disney
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Gosh, I'm kind of a slut that way. I'll have a different answer every day and 2011 gave me quite a few new ones like Michael Fassbender, Chris O'Dowd and Tom Hiddleston.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Occupy Wall Street, unemployment, women's rights...seriously, you'd think this was the 1800s, gay rights
37. Who did you miss?
Hmm...Lotso, I know he's a fictional character but damn is he a good hugger and even when I do get back to Disney...you can't meet him anymore...
38. Who was the best new person you met?
There's several cool people at work. We'll see. Just today, I talked with one of the new employees and she asked if my Valentine's bag was the one with a Tardis!
She knows what a Tardis is! Score!
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011.
It's not new, but I still see the wisdom of:
Conan O'Brien: Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen.
