The Dark Tower
Jan. 3rd, 2018 12:02 amThis was a bad, bad, BAD movie but The Dark Tower did have two things I really enjoy: Idris Elba and vague unintentional references to Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2.
At one point, Elba's character explains his shooting skill as,
"I do not aim with my hand. He who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. I aim with my eye. I do not shoot with my hand. He who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. I shoot with my mind. I do not kill with my gun. He who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father."
At this point, I'm like, say. say it. SAY IT!!!!
"I kill with my heart."
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you recall, Yondu describes his ability to fly his arrow as,
"I don't use my head to fly the arrow, boy! I use my heart."
I realize that The Dark Tower novel was written first and it wouldn't be the first time that Guardians of the Galaxy has "borrowed" from a book but shh. let me have my fun.
