What's your Deathly Hallows plans?
Jul. 7th, 2011 08:01 pmSo, I have the 15th off, I'm off by 6:30 on the 16th and the 17th...well, I'm either off or I won't be working all day...
But I don't know my Deathly Hallows plans! I'm supposed to see it at some point with my brother and nephew and most likely at a separate time with my mom, but with that kind of schedule...I could see it opening day and I kind of want to...it's the last one after all and the first two I was lucky enough to do Sneak Screenings.
What are you guys doing next weekend?

Date: 2011-07-08 01:18 am (UTC)13th of July: watch Deathly Hallows Part II at my very first midnight session and cry until dehydrated, go home after movie and make a LJ post, see if I can fall asleep, go to an afternoon session and try to catch things my tears obscured at the midnight session, have day off work.
16th of July: watch it with mum and neighbours, once again try and catch things the crying caused me to miss. Negotiate with family when we'll all go see it again. And how many more times.
Aaaalll planned out ;)

Date: 2011-07-08 03:29 am (UTC)THat is such a difficult question to answer. I've very conflicted about what to do.
I'm even tempted not to see it all.

Date: 2011-07-09 04:50 am (UTC)But I came into my HP fandom through the movies.
Reading the books, for me, was kinda like reading spoilers for the movies. Something might be in the book, but if I don't see it in the movie, it kinda didn't happen for me.
So, part of my issue is of the "If a tree falls in the woods...?" kind. If I see the thing that is going to happen to my favorite character, then it's going to be real in my fandom and really mess that up.
I know I really need to buck up and "pull off the band-aid really fast" and be done with it, but I really don't want tooooo....*whiny voice*

Date: 2011-07-10 11:05 am (UTC)I can´t decide what to do.
I´d like to watch it on the big screen, but you know,I´ll be completely devasted when Severus dies and maybe Lucius gets killed, too.
Damn,I´ll cry like a baby when that happens and that´s quite embarassing in a cinema packed up with people, who´ll think I´m completely nutters.
So,maybe I´ll wait for the dvd to come out and then I´ll sit on my sofa with 5 tissue boxes and chocolate to get my through it...
But it´s the last Potter movie..ever..so....
What to do,what to do???

I can't, I'll be a mess but I don't care because all the other true fans will be in the same condition. We'll all be crying together like when Dobby died in part one.

*pets her Severus*
Maybe Tuesday..there´s a screening at 9p.m.,so all the kids should be in bed, right?
No distracting 12 year olds, who will shout huzzzaaah when Snape dies and the cinema won´t be too over crowded.

Date: 2011-07-31 02:40 am (UTC)Aww, you went for the dvd...honestly, everyone else around me was crying, too. You could really hear it during the Snape montage and afterwards, a lot of sniffling so I never felt embarrassed or anything.
I admit Lucius is much changed, but perhaps this is for the best and he won't be quite so mean to those around him in the future.
