I'm probably totally behind everyone else with this, but Vanity Fair has an online slideshow for Smash and it DOES have a photo of Jack!

The yearly Hollywood issue is almost a required purchase with me. I was hoping for Tom Hiddleston but it does have two photos of Michael Fassbender and one of Andy Serkis. I also really liked the Green Day spread except for it being an advertisement...

We're also almost finished showing the nephews the full series of The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. and my mom has agreed that next, barring any objectionable content, we can start showing them Firefly!

Yay!

This will be their first exposure to Joss Whedon.

(cackles evilly)

THANKS for the heads up on that Vanity Fair photo (and it's a really nice one)!

So how many years away is Buffy for the nephews? ;)

Umm...never?

I got really squeamish just during the sex scene in Empire of the Sun. I don't think I could calmly watch the Buffy/Angel sex scene with them in the room. Actually, even the whole Xander almost has sex with his teacher episode would also not be fun.

However, I will definitely encourage them to watch on their own when they're older.

It's weird to think the oldest is about the same age I was when I started watching Buffy but then boys and girls mature differently...

Yeah, it's whatever the individual kid is ready for, and then you won't want to be there. I didn't remember much sex, but I was a full-fledged grownup when I watched the series. You're doing your auntly duty by guiding them to the fine entertainment!:)

Yeah, I was just 14 when Buffy premiered so it was a lot different especially knowing she was just supposed to be a couple of years older than me.

We try to steer them towards quality entertainment but it is hard when children's entertainment is so watered down and boring at the moment. Not everything is that way, but a lot and when good stuff does come around like Chowder and Flapjack, then they cancel it...

Did you see the video I posted earlier?

BTW, I DID see the video you posted of the Brotherhood of Man. I'd seen it on Super Bowl day -- my fam yelled for me to come in the living room, and they rewinded the DVR so I could get the glimpse of Jack.

Sorry I'm just now replying. I've been out of town, and my mind has also been out of town.... ;)
