BBCA is doing a special 50th anniversary series of specials where each Doctor is discussed and then, they show a classic episode. The first special concluded with "The Aztecs". I've seen this one before and posted about it:

I loved how Steven Moffat pointed out "Not one line!" which confirmed my assumption that he did take that line for Ten and Eleven. I hadn't thought about the romantic angle. Most people always say how that didn't really come about until Eight but Moffat is correct even if it is a comedic plot...of course, there have been a lot of Doctor/River which has been more comedic than anything.

My mom found it very interesting especially since "They're both schoolteachers and now...he's fighting this other guy and winning and she's pretending to be a god...they've come a long way."

I'm so jealous the BBC aren't showing this here in the UK. And I have no idea why not, it's not like they have anything that isn't just repeats on BBC3 and BBC4.

After watching The Aztecs, I ordered the next episode, the Sensorites. I really wasn't a fan of Hartnell, but I think I'm starting to like him.
