I asked my Facebook first and got no answer.

For my first time at 5 Guys, they gave me some Cajun seasoning. I had enough left over to take home and use on baked potatoes.  It tastes fantastic!

but now I don't know what to buy to replicate it. I studied the seasoning aislewhich was just confusing. I'm not sure which Cajun seasoning to try or just try Paprika?  But then Sriracha has a very similar color and consistency to what 5 Guys uses?

I don't really cook and I'm lost, can any of you help?

Did you do a search on cajun spice mix. I don't know much about what is a cajun mixture, but I do think paprika and chyenne pepper is some of the mixture. Sriaracha is not a cajun spice ingredient to my knowledge. I usually just buy a can of cajun spice mix. I love to use it on catfish. If you use paprika try smoked paprika that has a realy good flavor. Good luck with your search.

Yeah, I didn't think Sriracha was Cajun but the color was right and I remember liking the chips made with it.

I ended up with a Pinto bean seasoning by Badia so we'll see.

Thanks!

hmm, maybe a mix of cayenne, oregano, thyme, paprika, onion or garlic powder, and salt and black pepper, with red pepper flakes added if you like extra heat. i'd say go heavier on the cayenne and the green herbs. I've seen premade Cajun seasonings at the store, as well.

I'm trying the pre-made for now. Actually, since I wanted Paprika and onion and peppers, I ended up with a pinto bean seasoning.

So I googled to just to see what would pop up, and according to the 5 Guys' ingredient guide, their cajun seasoning is a: Blend of Garlic, Salt, Onion, Paprika, Oregano, White Pepper, Red Pepper, Spice.

Hope this helps. :)

Thank you!

I wrote all of this down and took it to the grocery store so I could consult all the ingredients. I'm not confident enough to make it on my own yet. However, the only thing with all those ingredients I found was a pinto bean seasoning from Badia so we'll see, hehe.

It's good but not as flavorful as I was hoping. I put it on prior to cooking whereas with the 5 Guys seasoning, I put it on after cooking.

Maybe I should try it after cooking next time?

You could try that or put it on the potatoes halfway thru cooking, when they just starting to soften.

McCormick Cajun Seasoning is what they use at Five Guys. :)

I think they had everything BUT that one!

Thank you though, I'm still going to keep an eye out for it at other places. I ended up getting Pinto Bean seasoning by Badia so we'll see how that goes. It was the only thing I could find with most of the same ingredients.

UGH, Wish I could help you out, but I am not really big on the spicey stuff, so I wouldn't know where to start. Sorry...
Hugs, Jon
