Aunt May Prequel Film

So, this was a rumor right around the time the hacking happened...that Sony Was planning a prequel film with Aunt May. Everyone freaked out and said it was a terrible idea, but...

I kind of liked it. I can't picture it working with Sally Field Aunt May because they really haven't done anything with her. However, Ultimate Spider-Man Aunt May is awesome. I kept hoping the animated version would turn out to be secretly working for SHIELD or SWORD. Instead, I'm not even sure she was in the third season. ..

Unfortunately, it's Sony so no SWORD or SHIELD for Aunt May but it could be cool if she was working for the CIA or something. Maybe she could even be connected to the Parker mystery.

But it's Sony so they'd screw it up somehow.

A prequel that's just Aunt May or a Spiderman film based around her?
Sally Fields is Aunt May in the current movies? I love Sally Fields, but that just doesn't seem like the right fit for me.
Can you tell I haven't seen the movies? lol...
