Aww, I've had a crush on Ewan McGregor since the promotional interviews for Emma in 1996. I thought he looked so cute...then, I caught Shallow Grave on tv...luckily, it didn't turn me off him or Chris Eccleston, lol. So with me, I couldn't wait for Velvet Goldmine to be on VHS so I could see it. Actually, my mom and I both watched it since it had many of our favorite people: Ewan, Christian Bale, Toni Collette, Emily Woof...we didn't know the others yet. It's an awesome movie and I used to perform Ewan's dance in college for friends with a water bottle to stand in for his penis.
Well, Jack did seem the obvious choice, but Ianto seemed to fit the situation better and I did like that it wouldn't be what everyone was expecting.
