Silver Alert

I'd never heard of Silver Alert until last week so I wanted to spread the word. In half the states of the US, they have a system called "Silver Alert". It's like Amber Alert, but for older people especially those with dementia or might be in medical trouble.
It's posted on the highway signs, television and the internet, just like Amber Alert along with a vehicle description if possible. So, next time you're on the interstate, be aware especially if you're a passenger and not actually driving. In the first year in Florida, 136 alerts were issued and 131 missing people were found alive.
However, not all states have this so if your state doesn't, contact your representatives. Our populations are aging which will only make this service more badly needed.
