Did you watch the video? It was very reassuring along with the fact that it's del Toro and I can't picture anything by him totally sucking.
Whereas the last film had warning signs all over it: Eddie Murphy, cliche father ignores children plotline, kids who made want to roll my eyes and humor that was just out of place...I didn't even see it in the theatre, I waited for rental.
