Yes, they're out. Yes, I'm rooting for the Yankees...BUT they're my Rays and I will love them no matter what they do...unless that's moving out of state and then, they will be dead to me.
Last month, I finally got my mom yo go to a game. Here's the report.

Now,the seat's weren't the best, but they were free and if we had gotten there just five minutes later, we wouldn't have been able to get them at all. I loved it. I like the live games better than on television, but mom's decided she prefers watching at home. She did enjoy "the experience".

Inside has a Torchwood reference and the reasons why St. Petersburg must NOT build a new stadium

If you can't read it, it says, "Beer, Because you didn't get a pony."
We want a pony. We want a pony.
First of all, Pinellas cannot handle the traffic for a capacity or near capacity crowd at Tropicana Field. It took TWO HOURS to travel from our home to Tropicana Field. It's only 52 miles away. On the other hand, Disney is 67 miles away and two hours after we leave, we're usually in line or on a ride already.
It might not be so bad if we could park in Tampa and get ferried to St. Pete.
Second, the Trop has no parking. Well, it does, but not enough to provide spaces for everyone. Seriously? It was like Gasparilla parking, but Gasparilla is is only one month, baseball is practically all year long. We ended up at this school where we were in a hurry so we forgot to note the address and wandered in the dark after the game was over. Yeah, the dark, can't they afford a few more street lights?
Third, any new stadium must have more food vendors or wider hallways. There were more than one place where people had to work their way single-file around those in line for food: ridiculous.
There was one good thing though. Despite what I had always heard growing up, St. Pete police were super nice and helpful!
