I LOVE the Boardwalk! If I ever get married in Disney I want to do it at the gazebo at the Boardwalk. (In a dress that has blue and pink LED lights that change colour.)
You know I wondered whether people got married there. It seemed perfect although I also really like their actual gazebo at the Grand Floridian...that would be like my money is no problem wedding.
I liked the atmosphere of the boardwalk and how it seemed like a counterpart to the Grand Floridian although more Edwardian than Victorian, very quiet. However, we thought it would have more shops, like Downtown Disney. They did have this awesome Vaudeville act at night. This guy could do anything, balance a shoe on his nose, juggle three balls with one hand or do both while balancing on a board on a bottle.
So, the dress...it it like the ball dancers at Main Street Electrical parade? Did you know they have Disney wedding dresses now? I think Disney should come out shirts/corsets that look like the top of the princess dresses, especially Rapunzel.
My friend, Kelly, used to go to Disney every year with her oldest friend. She passed away a couple years ago. They almost always stayed at the Boardwalk. I liked it because it reminded me of a cleaner version of the Seaside Heights, NJ I grew up with.
The dress is inspired by Kelly. She and my other two friends would be Flora, Fauna and Merriweather so my dress needed to be able to turn pink or blue. :)
