I used to love to watch Conan when he was on really late at night. He was always poking fun at himself. I have not seen his new show. I heard bad things about his new attitude and didn't want to see him acting like that, but maybe I was wrong. I'm too quick to judge sometimes. Bad me. They look like they were having a great time on the video you sent me. :)
He still pokes fun at himself and his new network as well as NBC.
I know a lot of people didn't like how he went out, but I thought it made sense for what happened. He's a comedian, it was an incredibly hard situation and the way people, especially comedians, get through hard situations is making jokes. We did that a lot when our restaurant closed.
I know people also complained that he shouldn't have anything to complain about since he got a 45 million paycheck but it wasn't even about the money, it was about how they jerked him around and whether he and his writers would get to keep anything they created on NBC.
As it was, most of that paycheck went to paying for the staff to be able to stay in California until Conan could get them a new project and steady paycheck.
I may check out his new show then. I loved him. I thought here is a guy they stuck in the middle of the night, way late, he is not too handsome with his red hair, but pokes fun at himself and is really nice to his guest. (I just love underdogs.) He didn't seem full of himself like Letterman came across to me. Again, I maybe wrong. Letterman had one of my favorite singers on his show more than once, Steve Winwood, and Steve would jam with the band. This was like 20 years ago. I'm old. lol!
I could stay up late and watch them then since I was not married with a child. I lived with my parents and worked at JCPenney so I could stay up late many nights. I just don't watch them now. Funny how life changes.
