Tampa Theatre

If you haven't seen a film at Tampa Theatre, you really need to. It's this beautiful movie house that was built in 1926 as an atmospheric theatre and less than 94 exist in the whole world. The Architect, John Eberson, built 135 movie palaces in his lifetime...now only 50 remain. It's a rarity and a treasure. Like Hogwarts' Great Hall, the ceiling is made to look like the night sky while you are in a Venetian courtyard surrounded by opulence.

One of the other perks about seeing a film is that you may be lucky enough to witness this...


An organist comes up from the floor and plays several songs, using Tampa Theatre's almost 900 pipes. If you look closely at the middle of this photo, you might be able to spot some of them. This is stage right.

They have a pre-parade parade of the Muppets, less than five minutes long but it's the Muppets.

Obama Truck

If I had a truck, I wouldn't do anything like this to it, but I think it's cool. I love how Tampa always has so many Obama supporters unlike my neck of the woods.

Snow Leopards

Obviously, you can guess which one is named Ianto Jones. Ever since I noticed how BuildaBear had the waistcoat with tie very similar to what he wore in COE, I wanted to make a Ianto. However, they're kind of expensive and although I've always had my eye on the Snow Leopard, it hadn't happened. Then, I found a naked BAB Snow Leopard at a thrift store for a dollar! Thus, he was named Ianto and I bought him the upper wardrobe.

Unfortunately, BAB recommends a pair of trousers to go with it that look awful. They have a METAL button! Seriously, how is that supposed to look nice? On the other hand, the trousers that come with the Jonas Bros. outfit? Nice! This week, they're on SALE! My mom took the shirt for one of her bears and my Ianto is now complete...except for shoes but... (shrugs)



Did you notice Ianto's friend?
He's an Animal Kingdom Snow Leopard from Expedition Everest. They started making him in March because in March, all wildlife donations benefited the Snow Leopard!

When you're at Animal Kingdom, you can give money at most gift shop registers to the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund. It can be as little or as much as you want. As long as it's something, you get a pin. You get a free pin while the animals and scientists get the help they need, it's a WIN-WIN.

Clock Earrings

Now, I didn't see the newest Alice in Wonderland but it has some awesome merchandise especially these:


First, it was, Ooh, pocket watch! Then, stopwatch! I had to have them. Yes, it is 4:20 all the time, but I forget that part. I paid full price but most of this stuff is half off or more now at various retailers, FYE, Macy's, etc. I like this set, too.
