Wrestling and GLAAD

So, buried in one of my emails from GLAAD was this interesting bit of information.

World Wrestling Entertainment is also working with GLAAD to spread anti-bullying messages and to hold seminars for its writing staff and a PSA campaign to bring messages of support for LGBT people to their fans.

I know what you're thinking. How is this different from what I see on PBS, Animal Planet or BBC?

It's different because it's on a HUGE, freaking screen and it's being narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, that's why.


Also, this week only, 4/22-2/28, Disney will giving part of the proceeds from the movie tickets to protect the Amboseli Wildlife Corridor, a passage between the Amboseli, Tsavo West and Chyulu Hills National Parks.

I'm excited except we can only go Monday or Thursday. We'll see what happens. We went to Oceans last year and it was SO GOOD!

Yep, still sad about it and it sounds horrible to admit, but it takes away from the fun of tomorrow. I really wish they would do a show like they did with the Muppets when Jim Henson died and we got to see them all be sad and process their grief. I was seven at the time and it really helped to see other people being sad about it, too.

I've been dragging my feet on ordering season three but maybe I should download it in the meantime.
