Winter: A Dolphin's Tale

Winter is a real dolphin and plays herself in the movie. When Winter was just two months old, she became trapped in a crab pot. Her struggles to break free had injured herself so severely that after she was rescued, her tail and two vertebrae had to be amputated. She was expected to die...

but she didn't and they created a series of prosthetic tails as she grew older. Winter will never be able to live in the wild but she's visited by thousands, including those with their own prosthetic limbs.
