I forgot to mention the other day how if I'm on a post-Avengers high, it's really not a good idea to stick me in the backseat with a 10 and 8 year old. Obviously, I was supposed to be the mature 29 year old...
Didn't happen.
I pretended to tase youngest nephew like Tony did to Bruce which resulted in an all-out tasing war until we got them home. I'm pretty sure the quote "I'm going to tase you and watch Supernnany while you drool on the carpet", was used by me.

Also, if I was being too vague with the title, my most favorite Shakespeare play ever, I saw The Avengers again.

I have to say that Brave will never be the same for me again, thanks to Tumblr. I watch the trailer and I see how she's supposed to resemble her animated parents but I still keep thinking:
You're secretly Natasha and Clint's kid...

Also, everyone else in the theatre today was like, at least twice my age.

Do I still have to cut? Well, I do kind of mention Cabin in the Woods. Okay, I'll cut.

Sentiment

I read a thing on Tumblr once analyzing Loki's use of the word. I can't remember a single thing they said about it, but now, I feel as though the word pervades the whole film as part of some greater meaning. Sentiment or sentimentality is said no less than five times, possibly more, throughout the whole film. It really makes me wonder if anyone has asked Joss about it. I suppose it's a very complicated word when it comes down to it. If taken at face value, it's about our basic emotions leading us to make decisions, like bereaved Tony facing Loki alone because it's what Phil had done. However, there's also sentiment used in a negative way as something childish which goes along with the "old-fashioned" business. Then, there's sentiment like public sentiment and how the public would definitely be rallying behind the Avengers rather than a nuclear option.

When the dvd comes out, things should get really interesting.

Are Loki and Phil the only ones to say, "Please"? I think they are.

I do prefer the idea of Barton fighting against being "unmade". As someone pointed out, he does shoot Fury in the chest rather than the head and when Loki asked what the Tesseract revealed to him, I definitely had the impression that he was lying, or at least wihholding information.

That is a very pretty, very huge chandelier that the smugglers/weapons dealers/terrorists/whatever have in their abendoned building.

I'm going to hope and assume that the kids don't die just because Natasha pulled Bruce out...
I had also never so fully experienced what Tumblr had told me about, when Bruce goes, "I'm sorry, that's mean" with that grin and the whole audience REALLY DOES FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM!
I couldn't believe it. They actually awwed and commented, like they wanted to set him up with their grandchildren or something...

I still love how the fans can tell that Phil is being out of character because we're obsessed fan people and just saw what he went through but that Pepper picks up on it, too. Plus, when Pepper says to stay, he says he can't in a way where you can definitely tell that he has visited her on a friendly basis before without Tony being around. BFFs when time and schedules allow, woohoo!
Or at least, better than nothing, yay!

There better be at least a reference in Iron Man 3.

You know, as a Christian, we are always taught how God created us and that we must serve Him so then, it's like, well, technically...Loki's right that we were created to be ruled.
Wow, that would be a definite advantage with having other religious beliefs. You could say how he's totally, totally wrong.

Whenever Steve talks about how his God doesn't dress like that, I always imagine Steve going to Heaven where he's met by God and Jesus cosplaying as Thor and Loki. Then, as soon as Steve starts to freak out, Jesus wimps out on the joke and goes, "Just kidding!"

I've been wondering a lot about Phil's history with Natasha. She tried to act like Barton is simply red in her ledger, but then, when asked about why she suddenly wants to be a soldier, she mentions being compromised and the red in her ledger. Obviously, Clint had told Loki a lot of her secrets and she was almost killed by the Hulk but I wonder if she was also realizing how much Clint and Phil meant to her and that she now owed Phil. It just makes me wonder how Phil was involved with Clint refusing to kill her, bringing her in, etc.

Also, Clint specifies "you're" not a soldier, implying that he is which still makes me wonder about his movie canon background.

Last time, I realized that it was the "glow stick of destiny" that was affecting them, but this time, Thor did his line about "You people are so petty...and tiny" and it dawned on me...

THE CABIN IN THE WOODS!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's so much more complicated than just making them bicker. It's making all their worst traits; the ones they've tried to leave behind or hide or grow out of, come out because it's all about making Banner's worst trait come out...the other guy. It's not about anger specifically at all, it's just that anger tends to be or come from our worst traits.

Who else kind of wants to watch The Cabin in the Woods again to find any other parallels?

Once again, I cried. I keep thinking that the next time it won't matter as much, but it does, every time. It also struck me whether I would be creeped out by Phil in any other form, but I don't know. I was fine with Illyria. However, I was younger then.

The lady beside me talked a lot. I think she could have given middle nephew a run for his money. I would have preferred his repeating, "So, that's what it does" to this lady saying all quietly, "So, he's gone then."
Killed me.

This time, I heard "is" again. This won't be solved until the Closed Captions and possibly not even then...

I don't hate Nick Fury as much anymore. He's still a lying bureaucrat but I've been able to see that he does have a heart, like with Phil and Tony.

This was the first time that the theatre quieted enough to notice Loki whimpering after his epic Hulk smashing. It was kind of funny but then also sad and takes some of the cartoon wiley e coyote out of it.

Did you know Beth the waitress was in a couple of episodes of Dollhouse? While I know it should seem complete as to her plotline, I can't help thinking of the deleted scene where she serves Steve.

Do you think Barton made sure he put the mouth guard on Loki? Ugh, I want to know what Natasha said to him. I keep thinking somehow the movie will change and we'll get confirmation whether they left together but...doesn't happen.

As soon as the credits started, they all started heading out. Then, the Thanos scene came up. Some stopped. Some didn't Two of them totally ignored it in favor of their conversation so they TALKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT! I was the only one who stayed for Shawarma.

This is one of the funniest shows I've seen and I wish they sold both seasons here:

Now, since they don't have both seasons here, can someone tells me what happens with Bill in season two of Suburban Shootout? Is there such a thing as fanfic for this?

I also loved this. It's "Like a Boss" by Lonely Island but using clips from Thor. Bonus points for usage of Coulson.
