Day 13 - Least favorite movie

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, no question...

Dolores Umbridge...(cringes), Sirius dies, Harry is being angsty and whiny like Anakin, Harry continues to hate Snape and we get political parallels that get more disturbing every day...

Okay, most of my problems would be with the book itself, but it's very difficult to watch at times. Umbridge alone makes me want to hit something especially when her words don't sound that different from stuff I've heard on C-Span and news channels.

Yes, they did the twins' triumphant exit but it's not quite the same as the book with the lovely swamp and the way the professors helped.

They also TOTALLY MESSED UP Snape's scene in the pensieve!

I totally agree with this one. (Although I have yet to see Deathly Hallows part one so am working on films 1-6)

Well since the final book came out I've been a little apathetic about the films, they tend to dissapoint me because they leave so much out. It's just not as exciting for me as it used to be. I want to see how they do it but at the same time I know it wont be able to top my imagination and the imagery in my head whilst reading the book.

With DH part one I decided I would wait and then watch part one and two together.

I agree. This is my least favorite of the HP movies. Umbridge is just horrible, but then she is meant to be. I really dislike how she gets away with the hand thing she does to Harry and the other students.

I remember how clearly disappointed I was when I saw this in the theater. I actually found a lot of it dull, believe it or not. Maybe its the short-lived romance with Cho or something - while she is only thinking of Cedric. But a large portion of the movie drags for me while the book does not. I am sure there were lots of things they changed.,

The earlier HP movies also had a magic feel to them (the first 3 or 4) and that magic or enchantment is missing from the later ones. I think the enchantment went away that day in the cemetery when Lord Voldemort returned. The pictures grew darker, but that is to be expected. Still, I do miss the magic of the earlier ones.

But without doubt OOTP is the WORST.
