Fave. Scene

"Once upon a time, there was a prince who lived in London. Everything was perfect, or so he thought. He had even found a beautiful princess to marry. Then, a scourge of trolls came and giants. They destroyed everything the prince held dear. He was forced into exile into the land of his birth. His only hope would be the local prince. Oh...should I describe the local prince? Well, tall, broad shoulders, brunette with some of the prettiest blue eyes..."

"Prettier than mine?" the girl asked with a pout.

"No, you have the prettiest blue eyes in the whole world," he told her and she smiled again. It was so cute that he had to kiss her on the forehead and she giggled. He loved her so much.

"Now the dragon," she said without any trace of the cold she'd been battling this past week.

"Not yet, that's coming...patience, you're supposed to be falling asleep," he pointed out and she lay back against the pillow in obedience. "Only the local prince didn't like him. He refused to have any contact with him. Day after day, he tried to get a counsel with him, to join his castle. Day after day, the London prince was refused. Nothing he said or did made any difference, not even his special coffee. Then, one day, there was a dragon that appeared. The dragon wasn't mean or ferocious like Maleficent, but not everyone would understand that. They might panic or try to hurt it. The London prince was able to trap the dragon in a large barn, but he needed help. This time, he was able to convince the local prince to help him."

He smiled at the figure in the doorframe and pulled the covers up as she was yawning.

"The two princes put together a plan where..."

Soft snoring came from the little girl.

"I fed it dark chocolate and Jack grabbed his foot, going on quite the wild ride before putting him out with a tranquilizer. Then, he fell on top of me and we lived happily ever after, the end," Ianto said and kissed her again. She mumbled something in her sleep.

"Happily ever after?" Jack asked, looking at their wedding photo on the wall.

"Rift permitting," Ianto replied, coming closer and switching off the light. "That's Sarah Jane's favorite bedtime story."

"I like it, too," Jack said with a grin. "Otherwise, none of this would have happened."

Ianto pulled the door almost shut so they were in the hallway. He didn't want them to wake her up. It was a big day tomorrow. Now, she was going to do school full-time. Their baby was growing up.

"Sometimes, it's so hard to believe myself," Ianto admitted and kissed him on the lips, putting his arms around him. Jack kissed him back with vigor. His fingers ran over Ianto's fingers, pausing on the gold band before undoing his husband's belt.

Then, there was an awful, familiar sound behind them.

"Copernicus, no!" Jack shouted at the puppy urinating on the floor.
