One of the reasons I haven't seen it is how much I love the original. Every time I see an ad I can't help thinking, "Colin Farrell is sooo not Chris Sarandon."

I know, the name probably has no meaning to you. She hasn't had the genre success of Jane Espenson...
She means something to me. Also, from a quick look at IMDb, she may not have been having the "genre success" of Jane Espenson, but she's been having serious success. It says Marti has won not one but two Writers Guild of America awards with Mad Men. ;) Learning Marti did the script for the remake does make me more inclined to see it sometime.
