As I mentioned earlier, I saw Chimpanzee this weekend. This my review:

There was one big discrepancy in the film that I never saw addressed though. Normally, in a stable animal environment, unless Michael Crichton taught me wrong, the population of animals is directly related to their food and water supply. However, in Chimpanzee, it didn't seem that way. The larger troop was situated in an area with little resources while the troop with a plentiful nut grove and plenty of fresh water had fewer numbers. I was curious why but no one ever said anything.

Interesting! Hopefully this will also show people just how humanlike the Great Apes are as well. It also gives clues into our own genetic history. (I would love to know the psychology of them - do they have any sense of a religion or Something Else? Do they have hierarchies?)

Is this available on iTunes? Or was it only just released?

There was a sort of hierarchy. There was a leader who had to provide for his people or risk another trying to take his power away.

No, this was just released in the theatres and if you go before Friday, they will donate money from your ticket to the Jane Goodall Institute to help other chimps.
