I got to catch up on my comics today which was nice. Everyone's been talking about Hawkeye #9 and I also really wanted to know what would happen to Loki in Young Avengers.

Hawkeye #9:
Jess says Clint's super power is letting people down and Clint doesn't disagree with her.

Young Avengers:
Loki says his super power is that everyone thinks he's a monster.

You two know that those are like the WORST super powers ever, right?

Loki also says he's like Tyrion from Game of Thrones. I know that's Peter Dinklage's character but beyond that...no idea.

Books-a-Million had so many graphic novels on sale that I just couldn't choose...until I spotted Marvel's The Avengers Prelude: Fury's Big Week for 4.97! Heck yeah. I've read it before but...

Me: It does, it has EVERYONE! Unlike Marvel's Iron Man 3 The Movie Prelude! It had about a third of the book recapping the second movie, then there was a bunch of stuff after that, then The Avengers, then some stuff after that but it did all of that WITH NO COULSON!!!!!

My Mom: So he's really dead then?

Me: But I know he's not! He's in the show. I know he's not in the new movie but...

I had horrible Norrington flashbacks over it.

Also, Rhodey officially came back to New York in time for Shawarma for the Avengers...still no word on where they had Loki tied up or what.

Tyrion is the cleverer younger brother in the Lannister family. He's super-duper smart and cunning and sly and witty, but no one takes him seriously because he's a dwarf (though they should because he can out-think them). I can see why Loki would relate to that, though he's not a dwarf.

Loki as Tyrion? Hmm, lets see. Tyrion is despised by most of his family, except for his older brother. He's the child of a wealthy, powerful family and enjoys hanging around with whores and mercenaries. He's physically malformed but incredibly clever. I don't know if comics!Loki is *like* Tyrion... but I can certainly see him wanting to *think* he is.

Unlike Loki, Tyrion's father, Lord Tywin, hates him and blames him for the death of his (Tyrion's) mother. Plus his older brother (who is gorgeous and one of the best warriors in the land) has always protected him and looked out for him, basically his only friend, and only family member who cares about him at all -- and it's reciprocated. Unless Thor has an identical twin sister that he's having an incestuous affair with (including fathering 3 children with), Loki =/= Tyrion Lannister. :)
