Remember The Hollow Crown?
PBS FINALLY SCHEDULED IT!

“The Hollow Crown – Richard II” – September 20
“The Hollow Crown – Henry IV, Part I” – September 27
“The Hollow Crown – Henry IV, Part II” – October 4
“The Hollow Crown – Henry V” – October 11

Oh yes, we did get them to keep the original title. They had wanted to change it to "Divine Right". Bah.
I was disappointed that the scheduling makes any Emmy considerations basically non-existent. However, we could see some nominations from the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild especially since it's already won multiple awards in Britain...yes, I do want nominations for the sole purpose of forcing Tom Hiddleston, Ben Whishaw, etc. to attend and thus, be on my tv a little bit more.

Okay, this isn't related to Tom Hiddleston in any way but it's a really good performance and I highly recommend it:
PBS ARTS FALL FESTIVAL: GREAT PERFORMANCES “Stephen Sondheim’s Company with the New York Philharmonic”

Friday, November 8, 9:00-11:00 p.m. ET

Additionally...
SUPERHEROES

The first documentary to examine the evolution of the heroes who leapt from the pages of comic books over the last 70 years, this three-part miniseries chronicles how disposable diversions that once cost a dime became the foundation for a multi-billion-dollar industry, from 1938 to 2010. Wednesdays, October 8 and 15, 8:00 p.m. ET
“Truth, Justice, and the American Way” (1938-1958) – October 8
“Great Power, Great Responsibility” (1959-1977) – October 15
“A Hero Can Be Anyone” (1978-2010) – October 15, 9:00pm *I know, I'm sad about that 2010 cut off as well, but that could still include the first two Iron Man films and thus, I will watch for any appearance by Coulson.

HOW SHERLOCK CHANGED THE WORLD

Forensic scientists, crime historians and Sherlockian experts reveal for the first time the astonishing impact Arthur Conan Doyle’s creation had on the development of real-life criminal investigation and forensic techniques. Tuesdays, November 19 and 26, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET

P.S. Only Lovers Left Alive

aka VAMPIRE TOM!!!!!

I'm excited. It looks like it's going for a more cerebral vampire story. The cast is awesome and yeah, vampire Tom is hot.

Remember The Hollow Crown? PBS FINALLY SCHEDULED IT!

I just finished interning at my local PBS station, and they did not inform me of this. Maybe they didn't know yet? Anyway, WOO-HOO!!! I found Henry IV, Part 1 on YouTube, and one of the most entertaining aspects is the "Scar is Loki's Dad" factor. Besides the actual play, that is.

Is SUPERHEROES on PBS, too? If so, I can't wait! Also, yay for Great Performances because their specials are usually pretty awesome. And NPH and Stephen Colbert!

Vampire!Tom sounds like a fan fiction that no doubt exists. And that film looks really interesting, and very, very cerebral.
