St. Vincent

I saw St Vincent recently. it was cute. We've seen the plot a billion times before about the guy with no outward redeeming qualities that slowly gets revealed as something more, usually through the help of an adolescent or two. There's also a health scare. Oscar bait?

I wanted Melissa Mccarthy to have a bigger role. I was struck by the very similar Tammyand how this gets to be advertised as Oscar bait and Tammy was, "Hey, watch this fat chick act stupid! "

it also had Chris O'Dowd...yay! plus, Terrence Howard and was produced by Don Cheadle so the production had BOTH Rhodeys!

I haven't seen that movie, but yeah - that does sound like Oscar bait.

I would guess the Oscar talk will be for Bill Murray for the most part.
