Fifteen years ago I read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the very first time and loved it so much that my mom gave me it for Christmas.

I read all of them as fast as I could from the library so I was so excited when Goblet of Fire came out that summer. I didn't do the midnight release though. Instead, I saw the footage for the news that night during NBC's marathon of the very last Freaks and Geeks.

Isn't it interesting how Harry potter, Judd apatow, Seth Rogen and James Franco are still so important to our pop culture right now?

Judd Apatow created Freaks and Geeks and Girls. He's directed many films like The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up.

Funny you should mention HP. Right now I'm going through a marathon of the movies, one per day (or every few days) so I can get them all in again before New Years. LOVE that story!!

I've been thinking how I used to read the whole series every year but it's been a few years now since I've done that so it and Tolkien and really over-due for a re-reading.
