BBC is planning a subscription service like Netflix.

Gimme Blackpool, This Life and Suburban Shootout in glorious HD with the original music and you got yourself a deal.

Actually, the ability to call up any scene of Coupling at any time would be nice, too. Youtube can be tricky.

Depending on how it goes post-Disney, I might be dropping Starz for something else, we'll see.

We have all the pay channels on one of our tvs and I am ready to drop them all except maybe HBO.

BBC sounds really good though. :)

They're also talking about closing the loophole that allows people in the UK who don't have a licence fee to still use the Iplayer. Which seems like something they should have done years ago.

There's a lot of people who refuse to pay for the BBC, because they think its poor value, but then they watch everything on iplayer.
