A month or two ago, I mentioned to someone about a study where people tend to hate things after 35 which explained the anger towards the female Ghostbusters and such...

It turns out I remembered it all wrong. It wasn't a study. It was Douglas Adams. It's still true though, just put kickass females in place of technologies:

“I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.”

When it costs upwards of $15 a ticket, I won't waste my time... unless I think it will be a good movie. I think we agree on that. We go often as a family and 5 tickets can get expensive!

I've had players go bad but cannot recall one of my discs going bad. It can happen though. We've borrowed or rented bad discs...

Yeah, that's a lot. We always hit up the cheaper theatres so it's 8 at the most. $15 is more like evening prices. We always do matinée or Carmike will have special even more discounted prices between 4-6 PM and sometimes, we've gotten in on AMC's cheaper pricing before 11 AM. Then, there's this awesome theatre that has 3 dollar films but it's like two hours away.

I went through two DVD players before getting BluRay but the DVDs are too freaking fragile. I broke a few from using bad cleaner. I broke my POTC from overuse. Pan's Lanyrinth must have gotten scratched when I lent it out but Harry Potter...it acted like the file itself was corrupted which made no sense to anyone but that's what it acted like. It wouldn't go past the WB logo, not even to the menu. I'm sick of it.
