Transformers: The Last Knight
Mar. 26th, 2017 10:02 pmEver since the first Transformers film came...live action Transformers film...I get suckered into these sequels and trailers make it seem like they're going to be as good as the first one, but...
They never are. Instead, it's more like diminishing returns...the last film even had a protagonist's friend who I ROOTED to die and then, he did and it was glorious!
But I'm getting suckered in again...
You have a teenaged Latina and she's like the main character! She's kicking butt and not afraid of the Decepticons and fixing things!
Then, you have baby Dinobots!!!
And Grimlock possibly having more than 10 minutes like the previous film?
It has a possibility of being almost perfect and I hope they don't screw it up.
Next we'll work on legal women can also be protagonists without being defined by how sexually attractive they are or their relationships to the male protagonists or just doing whatever the script needs so the male protagonists can save the day.

In the first film, she was a mechanic and had a background involving her felonious dad. Does anyone remember any of that other than me?
No...and by the second film, she was basically just Sam's girlfriend or the hot girl.
Even in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which she claimed would be different because she was going to be a serious journalist, she still spends most of her time flirting, wearing sexually provocative clothing or fending off male advances.
I want a female who may be hot but that adjective is a third or fourth thought to how to describe her character.
