My Favorite Movies for 2009

I know this is extremely overdue and...I don't really have any excuses for it. As always, the rules are as follows:
A film is eligible for the list because I saw it in a theatre or auditorium between 12:01 AM 1/1/09 and 11:59 PM 12/31/09 and it has not been on a prior movie list.

And that's how I realize that me, the girl who used to go to the movies almost every week, now has a big big lack a movies watching...

...I only saw 3 films in that list...3 o.o

Yeah, I went to 58 movies last year, but I bet you went to a bunch I didn't since you knew about Jean-Marc Vallée way before I did.

But that was in 2005...Last year I went to, um, let me think...*eek* 2 movies, plus I saw maybe 10 or 15 movies on dvd! *eek*

I used to work in a video store, so I was watching MINIMUM 4-5 movies a week.

I've always wanted to work in a video store. I applied to Blockbuster like five times at least, but I haven't applied this time because they keep advertising for Part-Time and I'm afraid I'll get hired and then, they'll close...

I also would love to work in a movie theatre. I've applied at the local one like three times, but I don't think they like me.

Hehe! It was this only place I wanted to work for in my little hometown (and the movie theatre, but they never needed people when I was searching a job! Bad Timing!).
I applied three times, went to 2 interviews, got choose only the second time around. 6 months later, new assistant for the boss, she was a nightmare, we practically all quited at almost the same time a year later. The store was sold like 8 months later, and the new owner took me back almost immediately! I was sooooo sad at the end of that summer that I had to move to the big city, it really was a great job with a sane boss! xD

Now, when I got interviews, I have to explain why I quit the first time around, and it can be kinda hard to find a way to describe my old boss other than as the "crazy psychotic bitch" xD

It's sad about your theatre, but for the video store, I don't know all the facts, but you could maybe try, just...um, how to say it...in the mean time? Have a little something while you find something else/they close? Even if they close, it's more work experiences for you...
But like I said, I don't know all the facts so... =)
