Supernatural Finale

This was so long ago that I didn't have cable or satellite. Bones premiered and then, so did Supernatural. Both tried their hardest to win me over with WB veterans, interesting material and references to The X-Files. I liked both.
Then, the next week, they went into their regular scheduled times...against each other. These were the old days. There were no DVRs and I hated having to set my VCR every week. I chose Bones, deciding I could catch up with Supernatural later. When "later" happened, I had a different job and never did catch up on Supernatural. By the time James Marsters and Charisma Carpenter appeared on an episode, I was thoroughly lost. I never really went back except for the occasional episode on TBS. Tumblr informs me of some things. I knew Misha played an angel. I meant to watch the Scooby-Doo episode but forgot.
Still, it's the final one. If I watched the first one more than fifteen years ago, I should watch the last one, especially with it being the last WB series to still exist.
There was me, stopping my CD listening to turn on the CW special. It was noticed especially when the episode itself came on.
My Mom: Don't tell me after all these years you're finally hooked.
Me: It's the last one.
My Mom: EVER ever ever?
Me: Ever ever ever supposedly
My Mom: But what shall they DO?
Me: Well, they made a Walker reboot and one of them stars in it.
Naturally, it's Dean, lol. Oh sorry, I realize Jared is the other one, but my Gilmore Girls fandom is too strong. He'll always be Dean to me and this year, I won't have to break out my Netflix season DVD because the CW is airing that season! It starts Monday so I'll DVR it because I'll be on UPTV watching their marathon of every episode EVER, starts 11 PM on Sunday and should end around 8 AM the following Sunday, 11/29. I look forward to it every year.
I was a little scared when I was lost just in the recap, but that didn't even matter. So, the episode, I was rolling my eyes at Jensen's death, but it made sense for the story they wanted to tell and how I figured they wanted to end it. For me, it was a nice finale. However, being such a casual fan, that probably means that the die-hard fans will hate it: no Misha, very little others characters, no Cecil L'Ively...whose real or Supernatural name escapes me...
As for me, my favorite finales either show you everything that goes on to happen to your characters or enough that you feel satisfied, like with Parks & Recreation or one of the greatest series finales ever made... Six Feet Under Ugh, happy chills just thinking about it
Supernatural fell under this category for me; seemingly giving everyone a happy ending and one of my most favorite tropes that I've used myself...reunion in Heaven, woot woot! There was even a super long song montage employing TWO different versions, oh yeah. It was nice and sweet and felt deserved after everything.
Addendum:
My Mom: So, how did it end?
Me: Everyone died.
My Mom: Really?
Me: Yeah, the blond brother got thrown against the wall and got impaled on something and then, he had the longest death scene EVER, like longer than Pee Wee Herman in the Buffy movie.
My mom: WOW
Me: Yeah, like it was at least five minutes long.
My Mom: And talking the whole time?
Me: oh yeah
