Just curious; do build-a-bear outfits fit most large plush toys? I've thought about buying outfits for stuffed toys I own, but I fear that they probably won't fit them well.
Yes, they do. The Jedi outfit was actually a little small for Lotso with only the cloak fitting him completely but it fit Stitch perfectly. My mom and I both have non-Buildabear animals that are wearing BAB shirts at the moment. The main decider is girth. Lotso is a bit too big in that department, but then, shirts have a little more room to maneuver than the Jedi outfit that had elastic involved.
If they're just a little smaller than the Thinkway Lotso, you should be fine. If they're much smaller, the clothes might still fit although they'll be loose. Actually, Stitch is about the same height as that Lotso, but skinnier. You might also consider the head of the animal. If it's a t-shirt, you will have to fit the head through the neckhole and the arms through the arm holes so the animal can't be too stiff or hard.
Thanks for the info! I figured Lotso's girth would be the biggest issue. I guess what I could do is get out a sewing needle and modify the clothes I buy for him by making them a little wider.
I was thinking of getting this shirt, vest and tie for my Lotso. Then if I could find him a little gangster's hat and cigar, he'd be perfect. xD
Aww, that could work although it does have an elastic back so you wouldn't be able to close it although if you made him a coat to cover the back, you wouldn't be able to tell. When I had the cloak around Lotso, you couldn't tell that the main part of the costume wouldn't close in the back.
It's called a Hornburg, by the way, the hat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homburg_%28hat%29 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homburg_%28hat%29)
Well, there are smaller ones at Hot Topic and Claires but he does have a fairly large head so I think that should work. His head would be equivalent to toddler or small child size.

I'd love to see what you come up with though.
