I've never seen Bowling for Columbine before. I'm taking advantage of the free Showtime weekend. Of course, it's pertinent to what happened this weekend but this interview really struck out for me. If it wasn't for his use of the "F" word, Matt Stone could be doing a half-assed job of making a "It gets better" spot.

Yes, he says geeks do the best after high school. I wish he would have worded it differently but it was 2000 or 2001. People could use the F word and no one cared.

Sometimes you need the f word to make your point. If you save it for the really important stuff, it carries more weight.

Maybe, it just seems like the gay equivalent of the N word for Blacks. I do admit to calling myself a faghag from time to time though.

Woops, I thought you were talking about the word fuck. Now I get what you were saying. But at the same time, he is not saying that the word fag is a good word - he is using it in the context to say how it was hurtful. Which I think is okay. If you are actually pointing at someone and calling them that, then it is not okay.

You're right - I think it is the equivalent of the N word. But I think in certain contexts it is okay (ie. if you are repeating something someone else said or talking about history). It does depend on the context though.
