Woahh, Kevin Walker is Welsh!

aka I'm incredibly slow sometimes...

I was watching this horrible Hayden Christensen movie when I suddenly realized that this Duke character looked just like Kevin from Brothers & Sisters so I look it up and it IS! However, he sounded all weird and Inigo Montoya-like, but I'm reading his IMDB page and he's totally Welsh.

Welsh! I've been watching him all this time and knew how they've auditioned Brits for that show...I know his name should have been the biggest tip-off...Matthew RHYS...but I never learned his name until now.

I'm more flabberghasted than when I heard Hugh Laurie after watching House for the first season. If I had a Welsh fangirl card, I'd have to turn it back in.

Anyway, here's how he really sounds where he tells a story about his drinking buddy, Ioan Gruffudd and how they got mugged once!

It also turns out that I saw Matthew Rhys long before B & S because he was in Very Annie Mary which I watched in college since it's Rachel Griffiths, Jonathan Pryce AND Ioan Gruffudd! Rachel would actually be my oldest favorite of those three though. She was the reason I tried watching B & S in the first place. I've loved her since seeing Muriel's Wedding at Tampa Theatre when I was a kid. Actually, I think that might have been my first Tampa Theatre movie ever. Anyway, here's Ioan and Matthew being adorable:

I am gobsmacked. Like...completely gobsmacked. Kevin and Scotty are my faves on B&S...but I've only been DW/TW fan for such a short time that I didn't pay attention to Matthew's last name. LOL

Yay, I'm not the only one! They were just Kevin and Scotty to me, I never bothered to learn their names...I still don't know Scotty's, oops. I started watching for Rachel Griffiths but I kept going for Kevin and Scotty. Actually, there have been times when the all the Walkers were annoying me to death and I only stayed for Scotty. Then, they were my only reliable gay couple on tv...I can't even find Rick & Steve: the Happiest Gay Couple in All the World and we both know what happened to Jack and Ianto.

I watch every week. I really wanted them to have a baby, especially with the MPreg episode even though I know that's only possible on Torchwood and The Fairy OddParents, but it is also important to encourage adoption so I'm glad they have a child regardless of where it came from...and the storyline is really interesting and sadly accurate.

Yeah, I was just going to say that I cry a lot at that show...but the two moments that got me the worst were when Robert had the heart attack, and then when Kevin found out Scotty cheated. OMG it killed me.

I can count on one hand when I've gone hunting for spoilers and it's always because of Kevin and Scotty! When Scotty said that, I immediately began looking and had a little mantra going on afterwards, I KNOW THEY ADOPT A KID! I KNOW THEY ADOPT A KID! I KNOW THEY ADOPT A KID!

Every time they would argue or not talk at all, I'd say that to myself.

Also, and this may sound entirely insane...sometimes, I think about the show afterwards and what it would have been like if it was Jacfk and Ianto instead...okay, maybe not entirely insane but definitely sad.
