Flash Forward
Sep. 25th, 2009 01:19 pmOkay, I want to like it: great cast, intriguing premise but...
Even if everyone blacked out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds, why is everything SO fucked up?
Okay, I get that somehow every SINGLE car on the road managed to cause an accident which will probably do better numbers than Cash for Clunkers could even dream of...
And there were planes...don't they have auto-pilots that kick in like for cases like that? At least on Air Force Two??
BUT what is up with the all the fires?? I know it's pretty and helps illustrate the point of everything being fucked up, but I don't see a reason for it. The fires are in the upper stories so it can't be from cars. There are no large holes or gaps from planes or cranes hitting them. They look like business buildings so it can't be that someone left the oven on. Unless I'm supposed to believe that many people have hot plates in their office that they were using at the same time that caused fires?
And there just happened to be a vehicle carrying a kangaroo?
At least on Lost, they were on a messed up island, I could understand that.
Still, it's a minor nitpick and shouldn't even matter by next week.
Also, I hope that one guy's Flash Forward does come true...Rays rally from three runs down to beat the Red Sox AT Fenway? AWESOME!
Dammit, I just checked. On April 28th, 2010, we're playing Oakland and on the 29th, Kansas City, but we are playing at Fenway on the 16th-19th.
(Fingers crossed that he was reading an old paper.)
