Invisible Women: Why Marvel’s Gamora & Black Widow Were Missing From Merchandise, And What We Can Do

A whistler-blower who used to work at Marvel CONFIRMS that Disney felt females only required princess merchandise so that Marvel merchandise would be for males. Thus, the almost complete lack of female representation.

HOWEVER, WE CAN FIX THIS!

We simply need to use the same kind of ingenuity, focus and hard work that we put into #CoulsonLives and all the other fandom campaigns.

Okay, back to the Maximoff twins. YES, I am excited about Pietro speaking. He has what appears to be an Eastern European accent!

Why is that so amazing? Because neither Maximoff have EVER had anything other American accents in any of their appearances.

NEVER!

So, despite everything, this felt like WIN!
Beyond that, I have read the first third of the junior novelization and I have a lot of feelings on the twins, Magneto and Doctor Doom. There are so many feelings that I'm posting a column about it next Friday.

All the Clint Barton

I know I appear a bit obsessed with Clint Barton. I think it's because I get Coulson every week...although he better at least be mentioned in Avengers: Age of Ultron!...Black Widow got to be awesome in Captain America: Winter Soldier and Scarlett Witch was in the credits for that, but Clint, aside from a couple of mentions on Agents of SHIELD, was freaking ignored for almost THREE YEARS!

So, it's like it's finally raining after three years of drought.

Look, look who got their own action figure!



LUCKY!

I'd rather that he came with Kate Bishop...who has NEVER had an action figure and because I don't want to pay 25 dollars for Clint Barton. I do love him but there are limits.

I'm really tempted to buy some Dinamita or Black Widow Jacked though...and Dr. Pepper has cans again but all the cool people continue to be on Diet that I can't drink.

However, I am buying Froot Loops and will continue to buy Froot Loops until I get the flyer that I want! Technically, 2 of the 4 would be acceptable. 50% chance, what could go wrong?



Dammit, Civil War flyer! But I will have my Black Widow and Hawkeye together, I will!

Mission Impossible

First, my mom saw this trailer and was totally disappointed. I promised her that Jeremy Renner had a large part including LOTS of dialogue, like three times as many dialogue as the trailer for Avengers...but if you thought Spot the Hawkeye was a hard game, this one is even worse:

Jurassic Park Lego

This is so beautiful and awesome and beautiful and amazing and...I almost want a game console just for this. I think Oldest Nephew will be getting it.

P.S. I have not watched the clip for the new film. I figure if Joss Whedon is calling you out for sexism, then it has to be majorly bad.

Horrible Histories

The Hub aka Discovery Family Channel started showing Horrible Histories last night!
