All My Pokemon are Dead
Jul. 14th, 2015 12:23 amRecently, a thrift store had a bag of Game Boy games for under four bucks.
SCORE!
So, after 3-5 years of vacation, I took out my old game boys and tested the new batch out. It didn't go well. I could only get four games to work but, that's not the horrible part.
I went to play my Pokemon Silver...my Pokemon Silver that I had like 15 years of collecting on...and it asked me to started a new game. Okay, maybe there's some weird quirk so I started a new game, played, turned it off and...it did the same thing when I turned it on again.
The internal battery is dead and what if that means...all my Pokemon are gone???
I feel like they're dead and I'm definitely mourning the loss. I had a Meganium named Buffy, a Noctowl named Giles, a Bellossom named Oz and now I can't remember everyone else and I feel bad about that, too. I had Pokemon for every cast member of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, even non-official ones like Lindsey and Jenny.
RIP
It's been confirmed that even if I can find the right tool to get the back off and replace the battery...my save file is gone.
